The City of La Habra City Council will hold a public hearing and FINAL VOTE on the proposed Rancho La Habra Project on Monday, October 19, 2020 at 6:30 in the Council Chamber, 100 E. La Habra Blvd.

The City has chosen only to allow in-person testimony at the public hearing. Only one person will
be allowed in the chamber at a time, & there will an outdoor-viewing/waiting area in the parking lot. Please wear masks.

You may submit written comments in support or opposition to the project via email to or by dropping off written comments in person to City Hall Attn: City Clerk (no later than 5:00 pm on Monday Oct 19th)

If you wish to watch the meeting it will be broadcasted live on Cable Channel 3 & on the city website:

On September 17, 2020, the Planning Commission adopted resolution no. 20-31 by 4-1 vote recommending that the City Council deny any requests for a General Plan Amendment, Zone Change, Specific Plan Amendment, the Rancho La Habra Specific Plan, Design Reviews and the Development Agreement and finding the actions exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act. The Commission also adopted Resolution no 20-32 by a 5-0 vote denying Vesting Tentative Tract Map 17845.

The Rancho La Habra project of nearly 450 homes would generate significant traffic & overcrowding & consume the largest open space in the City.  The concerns are:
Traffic Nightmares
Parking Shortages
Overcrowding of City Resources
Environmental Damage
Increased Density
Greenhouse Gas Increases
